Our lesser goldfinch has been with us since about Dec 22!	I talk with my mouth full...	mmrmph ?	Are you looking at me ??...	Is that squirrel really looking at me??
A snowbird with no snow?	I am so beautiful...	How did *that* get here? (Answer: the squirrel did it...)	Now, back to me...	I am told that this an immature red-tail hawk - he has adopted our yard and has a fondness for eurasian collared doves...
Oh mind your own business...	Peek-a-boo!	My only mourning dove that has been around lately...	My only Harris sparrow that has been around lately - what has happened to them??	Suet on corncob - just for me!
A typical ratio lately of mourning dove to eurasian collared doves...	Our American goldfinches are still with us...	As are our house finches...	Oh joy, the starlings are still here... actually they are quite pretty...	Our red-bellied woodpecker has been here since the last week of October
Him again! (immature red-tail hawk)	Oh all right, have it your way...	The cardinal in the background doesn't seem too perturbed...	Aha! Caught you with the bois d'arc balls (osage oranges...)	You're making quite a mess...
Sigh...	The lesser goldfinch came to say Merry Christmas!	The chickadee just came for grub...	Is this a Bewick's wren or Carolina wren?	I think he sees me...
I usually don't stay in one spot for this long...	They are very beautiful - there are just so many of them!	The lesser goldfinch hanging out with the other goldfinches...	A pretty colorful day!	I'm shy, but I'm beautiful :>
What is *he* doing here?	Wait wait wait...	Am I disguised well enough?	Here, I'll step out so you can see me better...	This photo-op is *over* !
At Lake Overholser on a cold and sunny day... lots of great blue herons were out...	Just people-watching, I guess...	Sorry, I can't tell one seagull from another (yet)	He looks like he's from another dimension...	Pelican!

The master photographer is back home, preparing a treat for the backyard birds (he thinks) from a leftover pie pumpkin...	Won't the birdies be excited!?	Ah well...	Birding around NW 122nd and Santa Fe, a kestrel!	Somehow it looks bigger than kestrels we remember...
We think this is an immature red-tail hawk along Lincoln south of Memorial.	Same presumed immature red-tail hawk	Another kestrel!	this one was having some luck hunting...	Plugged in to the solar grid??
Now, this is a red-tail!	Back to our own back yard... I think someone has decided he likes the pumpkin as well as the suet!	Work work work...	And my stretching exercises...	Cuteness has to count for something...
Cardinal with a mouthful of safflower seeds - and oh wait! Is that a non-squirrel on the pumpkin?	Hmm, what used to be in here?	I can *almost* reach it...	A mouthful of suet...	Bye-bye and Happy New Year!
