Day 1 - Singapore
(we were there one day before continuing to Vietnam)

After arriving at about 1am on Monday March 5, we slept a few hours, then my jetlagged brain woke up in time to see the sun rise from the balcony of Gerald & Vicki's 20th floor apartment.	They took us downtown for a short walking tour. This is the top of a very interesting Hindu temple.	There were lots of street decorations up, partly because Chinese New Year celebrations had just ended. That's Gerald.	Steve is videoing everything in sight. "Year of the Pig" banners are overhead.	Very oddly prepared giant lotus blossoms. I wish I knew the story...
A beautiful banner for a flower show we missed.	Vicki took us to a favorite ceramic warehouse outlet where she had some items to pick up.	Beautiful ceramic balls.	Hello Kitty?	Vicki with the proprietress, Vicki has obviously been here before!
Vases...	An interesting bowl...	Gerald & Vicki. We're at a Turkish "fast food" place for lunch, which was *delicious*!	Jetsetter Jeremy "happened" to be in Singapore for the day, the only day that we were there before leaving for Vietnam. We had a great evening, Vicki fed us a great meal.
